Impressions (Spoiler Free):

Well I finished the first chapter before I can give you my thoughts on the game, but so far itapos;s a very solid title that stands on itapos;s own. Itapos;s very reminiscent of Event Horizon meets Resident Evil. At a glance you would assume itapos;s a Resident Evil clone, but thatapos;s where youapos;d be wrong. It is a very unique game and has a lot to offer to newcomers to the survival horror genre and improves in a lot of areas that Resident Evil paved the way for. I for one am really enjoying the fact that there are no 1 hit kills so far. The game challenges you to defeat the enemies in a way where you have to throw out what you think you know about action/adventure/survival horror games. With that being said it has your typical weapons, physical attacks and an upgrade system and store. There are also shops where you can buy new stuff and store your goods via inventory. I for one feel inventory space limitations are draconian and out dated, same goes for save spots. The game does have a nifty map system and objectives directional system that allows you to see where youapos;re going by hitting the R3 button. The game is atmospheric and has a lot of jump scenes which caught me off guard numerous times, and Iapos;m sure there are more to come. This game is definitely a stand out title and itapos;s bound to not disappoint you like a lot of the over hyped BS thatapos;s poured out of the industry in the past few months, viva la October for releases
